CheckRx is a research lab focused on a system that touches 65 million Americans and frustrates most of them. Medicare is the largest single payer in U.S. healthcare, and one of the hardest to navigate — for the seniors enrolled in it, the plans serving them, the agencies selling it, and the government regulating it.

We work across four disciplines. Our market intelligence tools surface plan-level data and pricing transparency for health plans and agencies. Our policy research analyzes Medicare reform, IRA implementation, and CMS rulemaking from a position outside the industry's incumbent interests. Our field studies work directly with seniors as they navigate enrollment, claims, and plan changes — generating findings most market research misses. And our software puts those findings into the hands of the people making decisions, whether that's a 72-year-old comparing Part D plans or a CMS staffer reviewing comments.

We were founded in January 2023 in San Diego. We've raised $1.5M to date and have helped over 20,000 seniors directly. Our work has been covered in Entrepreneur and other national outlets. We partner with health plans, agencies, and policymakers — and we publish our research publicly when it serves the field.
